The snowcat tour was by far my most favorite adventure on our trip to Breck! Sarah & Gary were absolutely amazing! We learned a lot of fun facts on the tour & haven’t stopped talking about the experience yet! We can’t wait to visit again & hopefully see Sarah & Gary!!
I am so happy I decided to take my two kids on this tour! (2 and 3 years old) they loved seeing how the snowcat worked and watching the skiers go by. They especially loved sledding and eating s’mores in the adorable old cabin. We learned so much about the nature of the area and about cross country skiing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Super cool and very different.
We have been visiting Breckenridge for many years from the UK and always visit the Nordic Centre to participate in Nordic Skiing & Snowshoeing. Although we have been aware that the tour has been running for the last couple of years, we decided to give it a try this year. It's a great experience! Our host (Sarah) and driver (Gary) were both very friendly and had loads of information to tell us. Although I ski round the trails the tour goes on, it made a great change to actually take in the scenery and learn things in a leisurely way. We had a really enjoyable tour, which includes a stop at an historic miners cabin for some sledding, hot chocolate (and more stories), and it's very likely we will do the tour again when we come back next year! Bottom line: The tour is well worth it and great fun. Visiting the Nordic Centre is a must do if you visit Breckenridge!
Oh my gosh, let me tell you...this tour was the highlight of our trip! Sarah was an exceptionally amazing host along with Gary who drove and told the story of the quaint miners cabin. The kids loved learning about the machine, nature, cabin, oh and don't forget the sledding yummy s'mores! This is a memory I will forever have, it was just perfect. If we go back to Breck for another family vacation, I would not hesitate to book again. My kids are 2 and 4 and they were perfect ages. I took along their snow suits, hats, gloves and when we arrived at the cabin we put everything on. The cat is warm, so just their jackets and boots is fine while riding (We took this tour end of Jan). We were hoping to see some moose but maybe next time! Big shout out to Sarah...she seriously was so full of love for the children and just overall AMAZING.
